VaVaVroom to Unveil Riding Jacket
Friday - January 30, 2009
VaVaVroom will be returning to the Dealer Expo in Indianapolis, from February 13-15, 2009. Denise Maple, founder of VaVaVroom LLC, will be at booth L613 in the Lucas Oil Stadium for the expo this year to unveil new products. VaVaVroom caters to the ever growing number of women who are choosing motorcycles and scooters as their mode of transportation. The most exciting development at the show this year will be the presentation of VaVaVroom’s very first riding jacket with CE-approved armor and a snap down hood. This past year has been a whirlwind for VaVaVroom with the company generating local and international buzz for its one of kind designs. As seen on the pages of industry and consumer publications, VaVaVroom is taking over the motorcycle clothing industry by storm.
In 2008, VaVaVroom launched the scooter line to add to the already successful motorcycle line. Women who ride motorcycles and scooters are why VaVaVroom continues to grow by leaps and bounds. The Motorcycle Industry Council’s 2008 rider census found that 39% of new motorcycle and scooter buyers were women in 2008 alone, quite an increase from only 8% in 2003. The launch of VaVaVroom’s scooter line couldn’t have come at a better time as the nation saw rising gas costs and many made the switch to two wheels. At the end of October, scooters sales shot up 51% (Kiplinger.com, “La Dolce Vespa”, February 2009 Issue 9). VaVaVroom is able to distinguish itself from other businesses that offer women’s motorcycle and scooter clothing not only by the fit, but by the feminine and stylish design; two components that have been difficult to find for the woman motorcyclist.
